Forehead Reduction + Rhinoplasty Real Review | 1-Month Before & After Results (Respect Plastic Surgery)

2025-05-20

[1. Patient Background & Pre-Surgery Concerns]

This patient had long struggled with a wide forehead and low nasal bridge, which made her overall impression appear flat and indistinct.

Even with bangs, her forehead seemed overly broad, and her nose lacked projection and definition.

Seeking a more refined and balanced facial structure, she visited Respect Plastic Surgery.

[2. Surgical Procedures & Surgeons]

✔ Forehead Reduction – Performed by Dr. Kiwoong Kim

✔ Philtrum Angle Rhinoplasty – Performed by Dr. Jungshik Gong

Each procedure was performed by a specialist in their respective field, with careful attention to the patient’s facial proportions and unique features.

Customized surgical planning ensured natural yet noticeable results.

[3. Key Points of Forehead Reduction Surgery]

Respect’s forehead reduction involves a fine slanted incision along the hairline (while preserving the supraorbital nerve),

followed by meticulous dissection of the scalp, excision of forehead skin, and secure fixation at over 7 points,

finished with triple-layer micro suturing to minimize scarring.

An ideal forehead should present balanced ratios from the front and a natural curve from the side.

Ideal facial ratios are as follows:

Hairline to eyebrows = 0.9 ~ 1

Eyebrows to nasal tip = 1

Nasal tip to chin = 0.8 ~ 0.9

The surgical plan is customized to match the patient’s individual facial proportions.

Surgery takes approximately 1 hour, no hospitalization is required, and recovery is expected within 1–2 weeks.

Only 2–3 post-op visits are needed, making this suitable even for overseas patients.

✔ For patients with a pronounced M-shaped hairline or sparse density after hair transplant,

forehead reduction can be combined with M-shaped hairline correction,

creating a seamless result without additional hair harvesting.

[4. Key Points of Philtrum Angle Rhinoplasty]

This surgery, led by Dr. Gong, is more than just a nose augmentation—it focuses on refining the nasolabial angle (philtrum angle)

to enhance the nose’s projection and improve the harmony between the nose and lips.

A narrow nasolabial angle can make the mouth look more protruded or the nose appear droopy.

By adjusting this angle through philtrum rhinoplasty, we achieve a more structured and elegant profile.

✔ In this case,

The nasal bridge was enhanced using silicone,

And the tip was reinforced with autologous rib cartilage for strength and natural contour.

The result is a dramatic transformation from a flat appearance to a sharper, more defined facial structure.
